Membership
A WNBA-NYC membership offers some of the best benefits of any NYC-based publishing organization. Members include agents, writers, booksellers, editors, designers, librarians, production professionals, publicists, marketing professionals, educators, and others allied to the book industry.
The WNBA-NYC offers the following four membership options:
Regular ($50/year): Benefits include admission to all WNBA events and programs; eligible to vote in all local and national WNBA elections; eligible to join chapter committees; subscriptions to the chapter and national newsletters, eligible to nominate candidates for offices and awards.
Executive ($ 85/year): receives the Regular Membership benefits plus: special acknowledgment in the WNBA-NYC directory and newsletter, and entitled to bring one complimentary guest to chapter events.
Student ($ 20/year): receives the Regular Membership benefits at a discounted rate. Eligible if enrolled as a half- or full-time student in a degree program at an accredited institution of higher learning, or if a recent graduate with less than six months’ employment in the publishing industry. Student ID required.
Network ($50/year): For those who live more than 50 miles from any chapter city. Eligible to vote in all local and national elections, to serve on committees, to attend WNBA functions, and receive chapter and national newsletters.
The NYC Chapter membership year runs from September 1 through August 31, but new members may join at any time.
